Star Conflict: Community Edition

STAR CONFLICT: COMMUNITY EDITION TERMS OF USE

IMPORTANT NOTICE: On October 9, 2026, at 13:00 (UTC+3), Gaijin permanently discontinued the operation of the official servers for Star Conflict (the "Game"). The Game remains available in a community-operated format, subject to these Terms.

These Star Conflict: Community Edition Terms of Use ("Community Edition Terms") govern the use of the Game following the discontinuation of its official online services, including the operation and use of unofficial servers.

These Community Edition Terms supplement the Gaijin Terms of Service ("ToS") and End User License Agreement ("EULA"). Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings assigned to them in the ToS or EULA, as applicable.

1. DISCONTINUATION OF OFFICIAL SERVICES

1.1. On October 9, 2026, at 13:00 (UTC+3), Gaijin permanently discontinued the operation of the Game's official servers.

1.2. Gaijin no longer operates official servers for the Game or provides ongoing technical support or maintenance. Gaijin may, at its sole discretion, release occasional updates or patches, but is under no obligation to do so.

1.3. The Game client remains available for download exclusively through Steam. Users may continue to play the Game in a community-operated format ("Community Edition") by establishing and operating their own unofficial servers or connecting to unofficial servers operated by others.

1.4. Community Edition may differ from the former official version of the Game in terms of functionality, available content, progression and other features. Gaijin does not guarantee that any feature or functionality previously available through its official servers will remain available.

1.5. The discontinuation of official services does not constitute a transfer of ownership of the Game or its intellectual property to users or the community.

2. UNOFFICIAL SERVERS

2.1. Community Edition may be played through servers established and operated by users or independent third parties ("Server Operators").

2.2. Unofficial servers are not operated, administered, monitored, controlled, endorsed or supported by Gaijin. Server Operators act independently and are responsible for the operation and administration of their respective servers.

2.3. Server Operators are responsible for their own hosting arrangements, server infrastructure, user registration and authentication systems, security measures, moderation practices and compliance with applicable laws.

2.4. Gaijin does not guarantee the availability, security, functionality, performance or continued operation of any unofficial server. Access to an unofficial server may be restricted, suspended or discontinued by its Server Operator independently of Gaijin.

2.5. Any rules or conditions established by Server Operators for their unofficial servers are administered independently of Gaijin and do not constitute rules or commitments made by Gaijin.

2.6. Gaijin does not administer or enforce the rules of unofficial servers. This does not affect Gaijin's rights under the ToS and EULA in relation to Gaijin-operated services or its intellectual property.

3. COMMUNITY EDITION LICENCE

3.1. Notwithstanding Sections 1.2, 3.2.2 and 3.2.8 of the EULA and Section 4.3.2 of the ToS, Gaijin grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-commercial license to:

(a) download, install and use the Game through Steam;

(b) use the Game's server files made available by Gaijin for the purpose of establishing and operating unofficial servers;

(c) modify the Game and its server files for the purpose of operating or accessing unofficial servers; and

(d) establish, operate, connect to and play on unofficial servers, whether individually or with other users.

3.2. The operation of an unofficial server for other users, without monetization, is expressly permitted under these Community Edition Terms and shall not, by itself, constitute prohibited commercial use under the ToS or EULA.

3.3. Users may reproduce and modify the Game's server files solely for non-commercial Community Edition purposes, subject to these Community Edition Terms. This permission does not extend to the distribution of the Game client or server files, including modified versions thereof.

3.4. The permissions granted under this Section apply solely to Star Conflict: Community Edition and do not extend to any other Gaijin games, software or services.

3.5. Except for the permissions expressly granted herein, the restrictions and limitations contained in the ToS and EULA remain applicable, including restrictions on unauthorized commercial exploitation and use of the Game or its content for artificial intelligence training or similar purposes.

3.6. Nothing in these Community Edition Terms transfers ownership of the Game, its server files, content or any related intellectual property to users or Server Operators.

4. RESTRICTIONS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

4.1. All intellectual property rights in the Game, including its software, code, audiovisual content, characters, designs, graphics, trademarks and other materials, remain vested in Gaijin or its respective licensors.

4.2. Users and Server Operators must not:

(a) monetize unofficial servers, including by charging for access, offering paid gameplay advantages or otherwise commercially exploiting their operation;

(b) sell, license or commercially distribute the Game, its server files or modified versions thereof without Gaijin's prior written authorization;

(c) represent or imply that an unofficial server is official, affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Gaijin;

(d) use Gaijin's trademarks, logos or other branding in a manner suggesting official affiliation or endorsement;

(e) remove or alter copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices contained in the Game or its files; or

(f) use the Game or its associated intellectual property beyond the permissions expressly granted under these Community Edition Terms.

4.3. Server Operators may use the name "Star Conflict" to identify their unofficial servers, provided that any such server is clearly identified as an "Unofficial Server" wherever the name "Star Conflict" is used in connection with that server.

4.4.Except for the limited use of the Game's name expressly permitted under Clause 4.3, these Community Edition Terms do not grant any additional rights to use Gaijin's trademarks, logos or other branding.

4.5. Gaijin reserves all rights not expressly granted under these Community Edition Terms.

5. ACCOUNTS, PROGRESSION AND PURCHASES

5.1. Unofficial servers operate independently from Gaijin's former official servers and maintain their own user accounts, authentication systems and progression databases.

5.2. Existing Gaijin Accounts, player progression, in-game Items and other account-related data or entitlements cannot be transferred to unofficial servers.

5.3. Users may be required to create separate accounts or provide information directly to Server Operators to access their servers. Such accounts are not Gaijin Accounts and are not administered or supported by Gaijin.

5.4. In-game purchases were discontinued on June 1, 2026. In-Game Items are licensed, not sold, and cannot be transferred to unofficial servers.

5.5. Any matters relating to purchases made prior to the discontinuation of in-game purchases, including refunds and in-game Items, remain subject to Sections 2.6 and 7.3 of the ToS, Section 6.3 of the EULA, the Gaijin Store Policy and applicable mandatory law.

6. PERSONAL DATA AND SECURITY

6.1. Server Operators independently process personal data in connection with the operation of their unofficial servers and are responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws in relation to their processing activities.

6.2. Gaijin does not transfer existing users' personal data to Server Operators and does not have access to personal data independently collected or processed by Server Operators in connection with unofficial servers.

6.3. Users should review the privacy information and security practices of a Server Operator before registering for or accessing an unofficial server.

6.4. Users must not provide their Gaijin Account login credentials to Server Operators or use such credentials to access unofficial servers.

6.5. Personal data retained by Gaijin following the discontinuation of official services continues to be processed in accordance with the Gaijin Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Users may exercise their applicable data protection rights through Gaijin's established procedures.

7. SUPPORT, WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY

7.1. Community Edition and the server files made available by Gaijin are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any guarantee of continued availability, compatibility, maintenance, updates or technical support, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7.2. Gaijin does not guarantee that Community Edition will operate without interruptions, errors, security vulnerabilities or compatibility issues, or that it will remain compatible with future hardware, operating systems or third-party software.

7.3. Users access, operate and use unofficial servers at their own risk. Gaijin is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent Server Operators, including their management of user accounts, personal data, server security or user interactions.

7.4. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gaijin shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the operation, use, unavailability or security of unofficial servers operated by independent third parties.

7.5. Nothing in these Community Edition Terms excludes or limits any liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER GAIJIN TERMS

8.1. These Community Edition Terms supplement the ToS and EULA and apply specifically to Star Conflict: Community Edition.

8.2. In the event of any conflict between these Community Edition Terms and the ToS or EULA, these Community Edition Terms shall prevail to the extent of such conflict, solely in relation to Star Conflict: Community Edition.

8.3. Except as expressly modified by these Community Edition Terms, all provisions of the ToS and EULA remain applicable.

8.4. Matters relating to purchases made through the Gaijin Store remain governed by the Gaijin Store Policy and applicable law. The processing of personal data by Gaijin remains governed by the Gaijin Privacy Policy and applicable law.

8.5. These Community Edition Terms apply to the use of Star Conflict: Community Edition following the discontinuation of the Game's official services.
